Pappenpop has created this scarves design series for the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, using the collage technique. All of them are made up of paintings from the museum’s collection, and one of them, inspired by one of the temporary exhibitions: Balenciaga and Spanish painting.
Some of these precious scarves, in 100% silk, are sold in the Museum’s shop and will offer visitors a new sensory experience, turning the memory of the visit into something tangible and permanent. They will be able to use it to evoke that feeling they had when looking at beautiful paintings and masterpieces; since not a single painting usually remains in your memory but it is the sensation of several works and the shape or color of the images that remains alive in our memory.
